Greetings everyone.
This is the first project from Part 2 of my assignments that we did in "The art of Lighting for Games" with mentor Adriano Grasso.
Here we were tasked to create a scene using Unreal's new tool Lumen, where the main focus was on player guidance.
This scene for me really speaks deep space, that is why my main inspiration was "Dead Space", with it's contrasty feel and high intensity detail lights breaking that contrast I felt it is the right art direction for this scene.
I wanted for a players' eyes to know where the main POI is from the moment they step in the level. But taking a page from "From Software" book I placed some subtle hinting lights at the back which suggest exploration for the player, without giving too much information.
